Why you sleeping on the Based God?
You may know Lil B aka the Based God for trolling the rap game and creating songs that make little sense like "Ellen Degeneres" and "Wonton Soup". What you don't know is that those songs are a satire of the rap game. He makes those tracks because he knows that they will get more YouTube views than his deep, lyrical, conscious tracks. He making people everywhere fall into a trap of ignorance. Listen to his Angels Exodus album and his Illusions of Grandeur mixtape. Those are his best works. On the Angels Exodus album, he raps in his trademark slow, deliberate style over amazing beats that include samples from Drake and Evanescence. The Illusions of Grandeur is a more emotional work that projects feelings of escape from poverty and stories from the hood. Lil B is the most fan-friendly rapper out. He always reaches out to his fans and follows hundreds of thousands of them on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube. I've got a lot of respect for the Based God and I hope to see him in concert someday. #TYBG
Knicks Playoff Basketball!
It's almost here! The Knicks embark on their second straight playoff journey. Last year, they were a #6 seed. In order to get the 6th seed again this season, the Magic would have to lose out (which is unlikely considering they play the lowly Bobcats Wednesday night) and the Knicks would have to win out (which has a better chance of occurring). If the season ended today, they would be the #7 and would be matched up against the Heat. If you recall the 1999-2000 playoffs, the eighth-seeded Knicks shocked the top-seeded Heat and went on to the NBA Finals, where they lost to the Spurs. That season was also a shortened season. History does have a tendency to repeat itself. If they are the 8th seed and have to play the Bulls, I feel as if they have the offensive power and defensive tenacity needed to defeat them. I could not confidently say that about them a month and a half ago. Derrick Rose isn't 100% and if the Knicks out-rebound the Bulls (who are a big rebounding team), it creates a more interesting series. You. Us. We. Now. Let's Go Knicks!
